BMI Calculator

BMI Calculator

Most health experts use the Body Mass Index to check if your weight is above or below the normal range. This index correlates weight, taking into account variations in body frame.

To Calculate your BMI:
  • Measure your weight in kilograms(kg)
  • Measure your height in meters(m)

BMI Formula

The BMI Formula is displayed in both metric and imperial units of measurement.

Metric BMI Formula

BMI =
Mass (Kilograms)
(Height (Meters))2

Imperial BMI Formula

BMI =
Mass (Pounds)
(Height (Inches))2
× 703*
* The value '703' is more accurately '703.06957964' but higher precision is negligible when calculating BMI.

For example, a man weighting 60 kgs | 1.65 m tall would have a BMI of 22.05

Range of BMI

BMI less than 18.5 = Under Weight
BMI between 18.5|24.99 = Normal Weight
BMI between 25 | 29.99 = Over Weight
BMI more than 30 = OBESE.
